How You Can Help

Each year, HACO provides food, clothing, housing, heating, appliances, pest control, transportation, pre-paid phones, prom tickets, holiday gifts, meals, and back-to-school supplies to children and families in need right here in Harborfields. We cannot do it without the support of community members, businesses, and organizations. Each dollar raised goes towards helping local families with basic necessities.

In addition to financial contributions, HACO needs hands-on volunteers to accomplish its outreach goals. If you have a special talent or have the time to give, please let us know. No amount of time is too small. There are many opportunities for students to receive community service hours required by the school, religious, and scouting organizations. Each student will receive a letter of recognition for hours served.

1. Volunteers

a. Drivers - To drop off of bags of food to families

b. Fundraisers

c. Food drives - Individuals, sports teams, scouts, etc. can host a food drive for service hours

d. Students-Monthly volunteer opportunities to organize, stock shelves and assemble bags for deliveries available to high school and middle school students
